Sunny spent the next day continuing to acquaint herself with her power while keeping Lilith's message in mind. The fear about the necklace's origin had subsided now, but it was replaced ounce for ounce with responsibility. As Lilith asked, Sunny had reassured Alison about her future role as a commander of remarkable power--but now she was the one who needed reassuring.

She was drowning in questions. What do I do first? Am I supposed to go public? Am I supposed to use force? Am I going to be the target of an assassin? Are the others going to be more powerful than us? Can we control ourselves?

Susan was already on her way out the door when Alison walked in.

"How was it today?" Alison asked.

"Not too bad. The stock is done, of course." Susan winked. "But the boss is here now, so no enchanted labor." Alison nodded.

"How did she react to the fact that today's delivery was already accounted for and stocked?"

Sunny walked into an alternative fashion store. As she casually browsed around, she took note of the other customers in the store and waited patiently. She grabbed items here and there, a PVC jacket, leather pants, a riding crop...everything I need to make a decent costumed persona is in here, she thought. She turned the corner and saw an entire wall of latex and fetish wear. I could also make a pretty sexy army if I wanted to.

Sunny waited in line, watching the attendant ring up a customer. She was a beautiful woman in her early 30s who dressed the lifestyle very nicely. She was short, but with an incredible shape. She had a black t-shirt wrapped around her double-D tits, and a shiny pencil skirt so tight that it arched her back. Sunny liked her--she looked like someone who could rip up the town on a Friday night. When the customer left, Sunny approached the counter with her stuff, handing it all over to the buxom tattooed-beauty.

"I knew I made the right choice," Sunny said after she hung up her cellphone. "She couldn't keep the gloves off of her." Susan burst out laughing, driving down the turnpike to Claire's house.

"You really think it's a good idea to show off our powers?" Susan asked. "What would Claire say?" She started laughing again.

"I'm getting to the point where I don't give a damn," Said Sunny. "The question is, should I ask for the necklace, or should I just borrow it and bring it back without Claire knowing?" Susan shrugged.
